摘要
This paper presents a fully integrated (on-off keying) impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) transmitter suitable for low-power wireless biomedical sensors. The transmitter operates at 3-5 GHz frequency range with a channel bandwidth of similar to 2GHz. Implemented in a standard 130-nm CMOS process the proposed transmitter follows on/off keying (OOK) modulation scheme and consumes an average power of 496 mu W with 1.2 V supply voltage. Simulation results show that the pulse duration is 3.5ns and the peak amplitude of the power spectrum is -46.8 dBin/MHz and which fully complies with the FCC spectral mask.
