摘要
This paper explains about the short circuit calculation based on IEC 60909 using ETAP. Short circuit calculation is one of the most important calculations in system study analysis because the occurrence of short circuit fault in electrical system can't be avoided. Hence all the electrical equipments chosen for electrical system should be suitable for maximum possible fault current in the system. Also all the protection equipments shall be capable to identify the minimum possible fault current in the system. This paper discusses about the input required for short circuit calculation, parameters of all electrical equipments (transformer, generator, busbar, etc) which depend on the short circuit calculation. This paper also discusses the selection of these parameters based on the short circuit calculation.
