Research on the Development of Hubei Province-Strategic Emerging Industries Based on Improved SWOT Analysis

Strategic Emerging Industries (SEI), as a new way to make economic grow up, is important in China. Being the province in center China, Hubei takes advantages of its geographic location to develop its economic great-leap forward by means of science. This paper focus on analyzing the factors of development for SEI in Hubei, including its strengths & weaknesses inside and opportunities & threats outside. Colligating SWOT and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process), this paper constructs an improved SWOT method to make the analysis more objective and in-depth. Finally, this paper analyzes some problems in Hubei's industry transformation and tactics for these problems.
