The Minnesota Supreme Court recently handed down a major victory for beekeepers in that State who have suffered spray damage to their hives. Usually bee spray cases involving damages to hives from pesticide spray have focused on the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act or FIFRA for short. Usually these cases have not gone well for beekeepers. However, the present case involved different legal issues, and the results were much better for the beekeepers. This article discusses the case and its implications.
