Synthesis and crystal structure of 4-phenyl-7,7-dimethyl-2,5-dioxo-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydroquinolin under microwave irradiation

摘要
The title compound (C17H19NO2) has been synthesized by reaction of benzaldehyde and 5, 5-dimethyl-1, 3-cyclohexamedione, isopropylidene malonate and ammonium acetate under microwave irradiation, and its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P2(1)/a a = 7.524(2), b = 22.383(3), c = 9.273(2) Angstrom, beta = 113.04(2)degrees V = 1443.7(5) Angstrom (3), M-r = 269.34, D-c = 1.239 g/cm(3), Z = 4, mu (MoK alpha) = 0.81 cm(-1), F(000) = 576. The structure was solved by direct methods, and refined by full-matrix least-square method to a final R = 0.044 and R-w =0.058. X-ray analysis reveals that the dihedral angle between plane 1 C(12) similar to C(17) and plane 2 O(3) - C(9) - C(4) - C(5) - N(1) is 84.25 degrees.
