THE CRIME OF FEMICIDE AND ITS PREVENTION IN BABAHOYO CANTON

Femicide is a highly complex phenomenon that affects modern society. Higher education institutions, particularly in the university environment, are not exempt from this problem. Power relations and sexism are manifested in higher education institutions in various ways, generating abusive situations of power and violence that hinder the complaint or denunciation by the most affected people. Among the social work developed by the university in this regard is the promotion of training on gender and social class equality without racism or any other religious or political distinction. Promoting the use of language and the implementation of dissemination campaigns to foster a culture respectful of human rights and free of violence among the university community is essential nowadays for every school in the country.
