摘要
This paper outlines the results of an investigation on the relationship between Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal design parameters and its navigation performances, which is an important consideration in designing next generation GNSS signals. The GNSS signals are basically composed of carrier wave, spreading codes, and navigation messages. The characteristics of the designed signals are determined according to how to set the parameters for each component, where the characteristics of the designed signal affect the overall navigation performances. So, the investigation on the relationship between the GNSS signal design parameters and its navigation performance is necessarily in particular at the signal design stage. Meanwhile, for efficient signal design, whether the designed signals satisfy all predefined system requirements should be evaluated at the signal design stage. To do this, trade-off analysis focusing on several selected navigation performances such as time-to-first-fix (TTFF), sensitivity, accuracy, robustness, and multipath performance is performed.
