Errors in determining the coordinates of a point source by the centroid method

摘要：
This paper discusses the errors in determining the coordinates of a point source by the centroid method caused by the finiteness of the strobe and by discretization. The possible values of such errors and the conditions for minimizing them are determined. These errors are compared with the errors caused by noise. (C) 2001 The Optical Society of America.
