This article outlines the benefits that the Veterinary Graduate Development Programme (VetGDP) brings to practices and how the programme supports the newest veterinary sector cohort with their clinical and professional skills. It also includes first-hand experiences from two newly graduated veterinary surgeons, Isabelle Pearce and Stephanie-Rae Flicker, who discuss how the VetGDP has helped them to develop their skills and confidence in their first roles following graduation.
