For a long time, the educational circles in developed countries pay attention to cultivating creativity and innovation of college students. Facing the challenge of the new century, the Chinese Government and countrymen have given attention to this problem. In combination with the teaching practice, the paper discussed the effect of the quality and teaching method of teachers on training the innovative consciousness and creative power of college students. Results show that in the process of training the innovative consciousness and creative power of college students, a teacher should attach importance to the improvement on his quality of the academic culture and his power of educating person as well as imparting book knowledge, accentuate the guide function for college students, and encourage the main body function of students for their fervor, courage, confidence, and thinking.
