摘要
Optical absorption, photoluminescence and Raman spectra of poly(p-phenylene vinylene) have been recorded as a function of pressure to 50 kbar. Both absorption and emission spectra are observed to red shift with pressure. The photoluminescence spectrum is observed to decrease in integrated intensity and lose vibronic structure with increasing pressure. Possible explanations of the observed results are discussed. In particular the possible role of intermolecular effects is highlighted. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
