Fluid structure interaction with large structural displacements.

This paper describes the numerical solution of low speed large displacements fluid structure interaction problems. It introduces a general discretisation strategy, and concentrates on energy conservation which is crucial for checking both the stability and convergence of the numerical scheme and the physical stability of the mechanical system under study.
