摘要
Fluid flow pattern and heat transfer in a four-strand bloom continuous casting tundish with different flow control devices are investigated by physical and numerical simulation in this paper. The optimum flow control devices for this tundish are decided. The trial results showed that with the designed flow control devices in the tundish, the flow field and the temperature distribution were more reasonable. The temperature of each strand was more uniform, and the removal of inclusions was improved.
