摘要
The objective of this study is to verify the factors that most influence the process of technological innovation in Brazilian states in the year 2020 and, consequently, it also intends to generate parameters for the establishment of guidelines for the regional science and technology policy in the country. To carry out the study, secondary innovation data from Brazilian governmental and non-governmental institutions were used. Data were processed by correlation matrix and multiple linear regression. The main results showed that the process of innovation in Brazilian states fundamentally depends on the structure and complexity of their economies, but inducing policies are very relevant, such as: the encouragement of human capital formation in the engineering area, the quality of infrastructure available for innovation in the form of incubators and startup programs and with programs that promote the insertion of masters and doctors in the industry.
