摘要
The 28 june 2001 Mistral event was documented in the framework of the ESCOMPTE program by the French-German airborne Doppler lidar WIND and a UHF wind-profiler network. This experimental set-up allowed the documentation of major Mistral features such as the location of the sharp wind shear line separating the Mistral from a sheltered area behind the Alps; the turbulence structure within the Mistral and above.
