摘要
Surface and groundwater polluting discharges originate from two source types and are classified as: identifiable point source and non-point sources. The subject matter of concern in this paper is the non-point water pollution source of natural acid mine drainage from abandoned and active mine sites. In analysing the numerous contributing non-point sources, abandoned mine sites are found to be hazardous sources of water pollution.
