摘要
Three different cationic fixatives A159, A160 and A169 were added to OCC pulp suspension, and the amount of dissolved and colloidal materials (DCM) within stock was estimated by Turbidity Meter and Flow Cytometer (FCM) respectively. Results might provide the insight into the advantage of FCM during the DCM testing. Results showed that turbidity of three samples all descended greatly compared with pre-treatment, but no significant differences were found when testing with Turbidimeter. Via the FCM, results demonstrated that the amounts of DCM were much less than pre-treatment, but the size keeps almost unchanged for the treatment of good fixation. For poor fixation, DCM amounts decreased, but the size was bigger than pre-treatment. This might result from destabilization of colloidal system, and this destabilization could not be observed by Turbidimeter. Therefore, different fixation performances of cationic fixatives could be well represented via the FCM, which would help to exactly estimate the amount and deposition of DCM in the pulp suspension.
