摘要
The switched reluctance motors (SRMs) have potential to be the most attractive solution for electric vehicles (EVs). However, inherent torque ripple and complicated control algorithm are the main drawbacks of SRMs. This paper presents a simplified structure average torque control (ATC) of SRMs with torque ripple minimization. The torque ripple is reduced based on optimum solution of excitation angles. The optimum excitation angles are calculated offline using accurate machine model by solving a multi -objective optimization function. This function has two criteria of torque ripple and copper losses. The machine model is built using MATLAB/Simulink environment. Where, the SRM's magnetization characteristics are estimated using finite element method (FEM). Series of simulation results are included to show the effectiveness and feasibility of proposed control technique.
