摘要
Wireless healthcare monitoring in a sensor network has different requirements and priorities from environmental, agricultural and industrial monitoring. This paper discusses some of the software design issues that must be addressed when implementing query-driven healthcare monitoring, as well as the effects that the varying sampling rates and packet sizes required by different medical sensors have on network performance. Some existing MAC (media access control) and network layer protocols are modified to enhance their compatibility and flexibility for use in healthcare systems.
