An AODV-based anycast protocol in mobile ad hoc network

摘要
Anycast is a communication model for IP and is more important for an ad-hoe network in terms of resource, robustness and efficiency. AODV is a simple and efficient routing protocol designed specifically for use in multi-hop wireless ad hoe networks of mobile nodes. In this paper, we propose an anycast protocol for IP flow in mobile ad hoc networks, which is based on the AODV protocol. We also test its performance with different network parameters and the simulation results show that our anycast protocol can balance the network load efficiently, reduce the delay of packet and improve the network throughput. Anycast service can also improve the performance of ad hoe network when mobility is high and links get disconnected frequently.
