摘要
Reliability analysis is an essential activity in any product design and development. In this paper, a reliability analysis of a Multi-Sensor Warning System is addressed. The reliability engineering tasks namely the reliability block diagram, reliability prediction, and the failure mode effects and criticality analysis are carried out for the system. Reliability prediction methodology is based on MIL HDBK 217FN2 and the failure mode effects and criticality analysis is based on MIL STD 1629A. A fuzzy logic approach is attempted for the failure mode effects and criticality analysis, which enables one to incorporate the qualitative information gained, obtained or available about the system into the analysis. The analysis carried out has provided useful design inputs, which in turn helped in demonstrating the achieved reliability for the Multi-Sensor Warning System.
