The Influence of University Library under the Rapid Development of Chinese Higher Education

Chinese higher education has been rapidly developed since 1990. University library has been developed with the development of Chinese higher education. Architecture of library, collection of books and facility in library have achieved a great progress. But there is still some drawback such as impractical use of library building, unreasonable distribution for resource of library, maintenance problems of hardware equipment. Some feasible solutions are presented in this paper. The printed document and electronic resources can be coexisted together. The idea of oriented-reader is proposed. Multimedia shared space in library will be constructed.
