摘要
In recent years, information flows over the cyber space is becoming increasingly common as the information-processing activities become more dependent on the multimedia data than on text-based ones. It is evident from this trends that there is an increasing demand for the 3D cyber space interconnected through network, which is readily accessible to the public users due to the wide availability of the advanced technology in virtual reality and high-speed network In this paper we introduce a networked virtual reality (NVR) system(1) for 3D virtual shopping malL The NVR system is composed of two sub systems, NVR pilot system and NVR authoring system. For each of the sub systems, we implement the prototype system and propose a 3D shopping mall to verify our NVR system.
