摘要
This paper presents the design of a grid-connected wind-solar cogeneration system based on the full-scale back-to-back (BTB) voltage source converter (VSC) and DC-DC boost converters. Novel perturb & observe (P&O) and incremental conductance (INC) based maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms using variable perturbation steps are developed for the improved energy extraction efficiency. Controllers of power converters are designed for wind and solar MPPTs meanwhile ensuring stable grid power. Time-domain analysis is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the adaptive MPPT methods. The robustness of the hybrid energy system is investigated under variant climatic conditions.
