摘要
The main motive of this research is to find the recognition and practice of Supply chain Technologies by organised retail outlets in the Indian Tier2 city Trichy, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam. Past researchers have found the value of Supply chain technologies on store operations of large retails, in tier1 cities of India but the impact of these practices on Tier2 city was not made as these locations are aiming towards the growth of this sector in the economy of our country. A questionnaire survey based on Likert scales was developed and administered at organized retail outlets in and around Trichy and Thanjavur. A total of 74 valid responses were collected. The collected data was tested using structural equation modelling. This study suggests that implementation of supply chain technologies is fairly related to the retail product pricing and retail operational efficiency. Understanding and application of supply chain technologies are observed with the small retailers. This research implies perceptual analysis measures of a store manager or store operators only. Future studies can expand on this research by analysing the actual data regarding the supply chain management and can predict the actual performance. This article is the initial attempt to study supply chain technologies among the organised retailer in the tier-2 cities of India.
