摘要
Friction stir welding process is a novel study; this study proposes a heat input during the FSW process to reduce the effect of heat - induced in different zones like HAZ, THAZ and MHAZ. During FSW process heat is generated due to motion of tool which in term fuses the work specimen and due to stirring action the work-piece is welded. A parametric analysis has been carried out in order to examine the temperature distribution along the weld of AA6061 and AZ61 The two process parameters i.e. transverse speed and rotational speed are varied and the temperature profile are drawn and compared with experimental work. In additional to this the effect of these parameters on heat loss has also been scrutinized which facilitates in optimizing FSW process. Crown Copyright (c) 2018 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
