In this paper we present agent opportunism - the ability of agents to take advantage of unexpected changes to further their goals. In particular, we are interested in how planning agents can behave opportunistically. We discuss the key concepts behind both single- and multi-agent opportunism. We also present an approach to multi-agent opportunism for planning agents that leverages existing well-known single-agent opportunism capabilities with an approximate decision theoretic approach.
