摘要
Eastern European countries are visited by an increased number of Russian tourists for sea holidays as well as cultural, medical, and rural tourism. Aging appears to be one of the strongest demographic trends which affects the tourist industry worldwide. The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristics of Russian tourism in Eastern European countries, and to make suggestions for its improvement through third-age tourism development. Furthermore, this study analyzes the peculiarities of Russian tourism in Eastern European countries, as well as the characteristics of third age tourism. Based on the study of world practices in organizing third-age tourism, main guidelines for its development in Russia are proposed. This study thus focuses on a less studied problem and attempts to make suitable suggestions for improving Russian tourism in Eastern European countries.
