摘要
Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) has become an effective method for producing Ultra-fine Grained (UFG) materials by repeated deformations. Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) and Multi-axial Forging (ME) are two different procedures of SPD which involve a unique feature: the cross-sectional shape of the workpiece remains unchanged during the process. The refinement of the structure takes place by shearing deformation for ECAP and by repetitive upsets for MF respectively In this paper, a comparison of the two processes in terms of load and strain distribution by Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was performed.
