The exotic potential curve of the 3(1)Pi(g) state of K-2 by optical-optical double-resonance spectroscopy

摘要
The Rydberg-Klein-Rees potential curve of the 3(1) Pi(g), state which covers the internuclear distance from 3.59926 to 6.76571 Angstrom is constructed from the experimentally determined B-nu and G(nu) values. The predicted exotic shape (change in slope outside similar to 5.7 Angstrom) agrees with the experimental results. The dissociation energy of this state which dissociates to the K(4s) + K(5p) atomic asymptotic limit is determined to be 2731.292 +/- 0.085 cm(-1). (C) 1997 Academic Press.
