摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic as a total social fact, imposed on humanity rapid and profound changes in the way they live and relate, especially in the countries most vulnerable to the disease. A complex and challenging reality that can favor singular human and social possibilities, including that of solidarity, is intertwined and gives shape to the fabric pf society. Objective: this essay seeks to reflect that solidarity, understood as a gift, that is, a system of interpersonal exchanges, capable to give, receive and reciprocate, which can be an effective company in coping with the pandemic reality Method: based on the relational paradigm founded on the orientation of the multidimensional theory of action, public health and ethical issues were revisited, to reflect the solidarity intervention. Considerations: a) making it clear that solidarity understood as a gift can become a possible path for the development of human and social potential; b) an ethical paradigm that redirects the collective rights of the individual towards the common good, because it goes beyond market relations and c) promotes or rekindles social human status of collective cooperation and collaboration, fruitful and promising for social sustainability and ethical humanitarian and collective attributes.
