摘要
The present study aims to investigate the differences between several summer grade diesel fuels available on the local market with respect to their impact on engine performance, combustion and emission characteristics, by analyzing various combustion parameters (ignition delay, rate of heat release, maximum indicated pressure, maximum cylinder temperature etc.). The tests were performed on a turbocharged four-cylinder 1.9L DI Diesel engine operating at 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 load at constant 1700 rpm, using 7 different types of diesel fuel. The results showed peak difference percentages of 8.05% for BSFC, 32.29% for NO, 4.38% for peak in-cylinder pressure, 5.83% for in-cylinder temperature and 6.56% for ROHR. There were no significant differences in ignition delay.
