摘要
FE-simulations of a combined sheet metal forming process, called pneumomechanical deep drawing (PMT), are described. The PMT-process is a new kind of deep drawing, which is being developed in a project funded by the Stiftung Stahlanwendungforschung, Dusseldorf. The forming process is a combination of a hydroforming process and conventional deep drawing. In the first stage the sheet is preformed by a working medium with a pressure to 1 MPa. A proper process-control of the blankholder force conducts to predominantly stretching results in the center of the work piece. After the performing the rigid tool (punch) produces the end form of the work piece by conventional deep drawing. The FE-simulation of the PMT process are carried out by the means of the special FE-program INDEED (Innovative DEEp Drawing). The implicit program was especialy developed for the 3D deep drawing and is being developed further for new applications of sheet metal forming.
