Fault diagnosis of short-circuit in stator-windings of an asynchronous motor based on harmonic wavelet

摘要
When a short-circuit fault of stator-windings takes place-in an asynchronous motor the high components of the harmonic wave will be encountered in the static current. Because of the relatively small amplitude, the message cant be detected by common filters. In this paper, we use harmonic wavelet transform to extract the high harmonic component in the current to detect the fault. The results show that not only can the method be used to defect the fault in time but can also be used to prognosticate the severity of the fault by the peak value of the characteristic signal.
