摘要
A study was conducted to demonstrate spectral analysis of a fourth-order differential pencil on the whole real line. The basic spectral properties of pencils with such differential expressions on a finite interval were studied in detail. The integral equations were solved by the method of successive approximations. The method given in equation 5 was extended over the entire real line and a spectral decomposition formula by spectral methods was applied to demonstrate spectral analysis of a fourth-order differential pencil on the whole real line.
