摘要：
The centroid of a type-2 fuzzy set is very important because it projects a type-2 fuzzy set into a type-1 fuzzy set and also acts as a measure of uncertainty for that set. It is used in type-2 fuzzy logic control and communication systems. In this paper the centroid is reviewed and algorithms for its computation are summarized. Applications for the centroid are also reviewed.
