摘要
The fast development of Grid computing has enabled new approaches to the always demanding tasks of data analysis and solving increasingly complicated problems. Large computer resources are becoming available to the scientific community and interfaces to these resources are an attractive means to take full advantage of them in an efficient way. Here, a prototype Web Service interface running the XMM-NewtonScientific Analysis Software (SAS) is presented. This application gives remote access to SAS tools for the analysis of XMM-Newton data in a simple way for the user while at the same time making use of a complex Grid environment.
