摘要
The SiO2 and SBA-15 materials modified by copper or chromium were characterised by XRD, N-2 physicosorption, FT-IR spectroscopy and determination of the hydrophobicity index (HI) at room temperature. The surface peculiarities of SiO2 and SBA-15 resulted in different interactions between the support and the metal precursor and the formation of different types of metal oxide species. The differences in the adsorption properties of the copper and the chromium modifications were found to depend on the nature of the formed metal oxide species and the type of the used support. The hydrophobicity index, determined by competitive adsorption of water/toluene mixture, could be used as a fast test for evaluation of the interaction of the formed metal oxide species with the support. The catalytic behaviour of the modified samples was studied in total oxidation of toluene.
