摘要
This article investigated how the entrepreneurial process contributes to women's economic empowerment. The aim is to solve the following problem: How does the entrepreneurial process contribute to women's economic empowerment? This is a qualitative, exploratory field research. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview script and analyzed with the aid of the content analysis technique. The research revealed that, through entrepreneurship, the women interviewed had access to leisure, health, increased income, respect in the personal and professional sphere and self-fulfillment as a woman and businesswoman; result of their economic empowerment. This study contributed to the dissemination of knowledge about female entrepreneurship as a contribution to women's economic empowerment. It also signaled the importance of vocation in the act of undertaking and how difficult it is to receive support and recognition during this process.
