Land ecological security is an important guarantee of national food security and sustainable development. Taking Jilin province as an example, this paper established the index system of the Land Ecological Security evaluation based on the PSR model, and used the optimal weights combination method, weighted comprehensive evaluation model, and ArcGIS techniques to study the Spatial-temporal Variance of Land Ecological Security in Jilin Province from 2000 to 2011. The results show that the land ecological security index of Jilin province increased from 0.265 to 0.697 in 2000-2011, the level of land ecological security changed from risk level to critical security level, and had a significant difference in space. In 2000, the land ecological security level was in a deteriorative level and risk level, and both of them were concentrated on. Then, in 2003 the risk level and sensitive level of the land ecological security level had a staggered distribution. In 2006, the land ecological security level presented the situation as high middle and low around, and the sensitive level was more concentrated on in the central regions of Jilin province. The risk level scattered around the sensitive level. However, in 2011, the spatial pattern of the land ecological security level of Jilin province presented the situation as low in the middle, surrounded by high level; the central regions of Jilin province were on a sensitive level and other areas were critical security level or relative security level. This study provides a scientific basis for the sustainable development of land ecological security in Jilin province.
