Research on supply chain stochastic inventory models under time-varying demand

Based on model derivation, the equation of local and global optimization of base inventory level under time-varying demand is obtained. Replenishment time-points are optimized by deterministic equivalent approximate optimization method. Numerical examples are given to explain the optimization results, and obtain following conclusions : Optimization of replenishment time-points under nonequivalent cycle make buyer's inventory cost much lower, increase supplier's inventory costs; Supply chain inventory cost under nonequivalent cycle slightly decreases; Global optimization of the base inventory level decreases supply chain inventory cost by a large margin.
