摘要
Key Takeaways Using records research, geospatial analysis, and focused customer outreach, Cal Water's pilot program improved the accuracy of its Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) sample-site selection. Following best practices to review and update a system's sample-site selection program can ensure that lead-and-copper data reflect high-risk sites. Effective lead-and-copper sampling plans allow water utilities to make critical corrosion-control and water quality improvement decisions to protect public health. Updating LCR sampling plans will be necessary for continued compliance with the forthcoming LCR Revisions.
