摘要
Organisations that manage information systems development projects need to be able to quickly adapt and adjust project requirements. Agile systems development methodologies (SIMI) are a family of systems development methodologies that allow organisations to adapt to changing requirements. They have been linked to decreased development time and higher employee and customer satisfaction. however, there have been challenges with the adoption and acceptance of agile SUM in well -established organisations. Traditional decision -making process often conflict with the principles and management practices needed to support agile 51)54, Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the usage and acceptance of agile methodologies by individuals working within organisations in South Africa. To achieve this, a cross sectional survey was conducted at two large firms in the banking and financial industry. The study was underpinned by the Unified 'theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (lJTA LIT). A sample of 143 observations was collected, dim data was tested using the Partial Least Squares path modelling techniques. The findings show that Facilitating Conditions and Behavioural Intention are predictors of agile SUM Usage in the banking sector. Performance Expectancy, Social Influence and Effort Expectancy were not found to have significant effects on Behavioural Intention. Therefore, organisations seeking to use agile DM need to ensure that they provide support structures and facilitating conditions liar their employees.
