Electrical properties of the pseudo-binary (Ga2Te3)x-(Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3)1-x (x=0∼0.2) alloys prepared by spark plasma sintering

摘要
The electrical properties of (Ga2Te3)(x)-(Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3)(1-x) (x=0 similar to 0.2) alloys fabricated by spark plasma sintering technique were investigated and compared with that of the ternary Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 alloy. Measurements revealed that the (Ga2Te3)(x)(Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3)(1-x) (x=0.1) alloys exhibit a larger sigma value of 3.7 x 10(4) Omega(-1).m(-1) than the ternary alloy Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 without noticeable loss of Seebeck coefficient at 318 K. The maximum power factor of 2.1 x 10(-3) (W.K-2.m(-1)) was obtained and calculated from the alpha and sigma values for the (Ga2Te3)(x)-(Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3)(1-x) materials (x=0.1), being approximately 1.5 times higher that of ternary Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 alloy at 318 K.
