Design of LED Light Source converted to Linear Light Source for LCD Back light Module

摘要
By forming two type of semicircular holes with radius 0.6mm and 2.2mm respectively into the light guide plate of liquid crystal display backlight module, a light expansion area is designed. Through the light expansion area, the LED point light source can be transferred to linear light source of cold fluorescent lamp (CCFL) approximately. The intensity distribution of light emitted from LED when it passes through the light expansion area is simulated by TRACEPRO and the results show that the uniformity of light intensity distribution of LED through light expansion area can reach 0.88.
