Broadband yellow light emissions of hybrid lead silver bimetallic halides

摘要
In recent years, organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides were given tremendous attention in solid-state lighting fields owing to diversified structures and excellent photoluminescence performances. In this work, we report three isostructural organic-inorganic hybrid lead silver bimetallic halides of [Pb(PDA)(2)](2)Ag2X6 (X = Cl (1), Br (2), I (3)) by choosing organic amine of 1,2-propanediamine (PDA) as ligand. In their crystal structure, dimeric [Ag2X6](4-) anions are bridged by [Pb(PDA)(2)](2+) complex cations via weak Pb-X bonds to form three-dimensional [Pb(PDA)(2)](2)Ag2X6 network. Despite the crystal structures of iodide phase has been reported, the luminescence properties of this system remain not yet characterized. Excitedly, under UV light excitation, compounds 2 displays broad-band yellow light emissions with highest photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 2.26% among three samples. By coating sample of compound 2 on a blue chip, a white light emitting diode (LED) can be easily obtained. This work provides ideas for studying the structure-property relationship of organic-inorganic hybrid bimetallic halides.
