摘要
Marzena Watorek, From second language acquisition studies to linguistic descriptions: French aussi and encore This contribution is based on the general idea that the productions of learners of a second language (L2) reflect an unstable and transitory, but also coherent and systematic linguistic system. This linguistic system, or learner variety, is characterized by a simpler organization when compared to the system used by native speakers. The relative simplicity of the learner variety makes the interaction between various levels of constraints, which exists in any linguistic system, particularly transparent. Taking this perspective, we analyze and describe the French adverbs aussi and encore. The proposed description aims at explaining at the same time the similarities, which exist between these two forms and the polysemy of encore. More precisely, the temporal functions of encore can be considered as secondary to its additive meaning, which encore shares with other additive particles, for example aussi.
