Object-oriented language for knowledge representation using dynamic set of constraints

摘要
A language based on the integration of various knowledge representation means such as frames, semantic networks, production rules, subdefinite data types, and methods of constraint programming is considered. Zn contrast to other languages that also use the constraints programming technique, this language allows us to operate with imprecisely defined (subdefinite) values and to change the initial set of constraints. Due to the constraints are linked with the objects and relations of the semantic network, they can be added to or deleted from the current set of constraints during the process of computation as a consequence of creation or deletion of these objects or relations. Each constraint is an ordinary logical expression defined on the values of slots of the one or several objects, and serves to refine the subdefinite values of the slots. A production rule technique is used to specify the process of inference. The proposed language can he used for developing intelligent systems which require the combination of logical inference and computations over imprecise values, and can regard the dynamics of processes.
