Pharyngeal teratomas in children

Teratomas represent one of the most common group of neoplasm to occur during childhood. They derive from multipotential cells and consist of possible to identify cells that develop from all three germ layers. They can be found in any body site, but typically they are localized in midsagittal line. Head and neck teratomas comprise only 10% of all teratomas and are observed most commonly within neck soft tissues and nasopharyngeal cavity. In this paper we present a case series of 3 patients with different clinical symptoms diagnosed with adult teratomas of nasopharyngeal cavity.
