摘要
The hollow microspheres were prepared from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) in supercritical CO2 fluid. The sphere size is Gaussian distribution, and can be controlled at a narrow range. There are pores on the surface of hollow microspheres clue to the CO2 gas releasing from confined location in the microsphere with decreasing the temperature of supercritical fluid. The crystallinity increases and monoclinic crystals can be generated for prepared UHMWPE microspheres in supercritical CO2 fluid. The isothermal crystallization process can increase both the crystallinity and the content of orthorhombic crystals of UHMWPE.
